Meeting up with amazing people and watching movies from Sitges Fantastic Film Festival last September, encouraged “Cinéma DiVa” to explore other genres for the upcoming 2022 Edition. We now decided to show more horror & suspense films.

We’ll miss to have screenings in Montreal as in previous years, but the “online” option will allow audiences in Canada to watch our 2022 Official Selection.

Last year’s Opening Gala (Drunken Birds),
a Canadian production with the Mexican lead actor Jorge Antonio Guerrerro, helped us to continue our relation with Canada and our 2022 Opening Film “The Breach” will somehow keep the bond of both countries through our Festival since its Director Rodrigo Gudiño, is Mexican Canadian.

Argentina will be represented with 7 shortfilms thanks to the support of Matias Irigoin from the web channel cinemarplatense.com

Iran will participate with the shortfilms “Saba” and “Unjustified ” and Japan with the Documentary “Okinawa Coming out Chronicles “Mama” Katsuki’s Hug-Filled Road Trip”. Mexico will be represented with lots of beautiful, strong & influential productions.

Inspiration has to be the topic of this year’s Festival since we wouldn’t exist without the powerful & touching stories that motivate us to chose our Official Selection.

Inspiration is our motto more than ever!!!

Dear Robert Theriault (†). Thank you for convincing me to move to Puerto Vallarta in 2012.

Dear Steve Finkelstein (†). A dream within a dream is leading us to Hungary in 2023!
